North Carolina’s 1st District elects a U.S. representative on November 3, 2026. Democratic incumbent Don Davis faces Republican Laurie Buckhout in a rematch of 2024. Ballotpedia also lists Libertarian Tom Bailey.

Buckhout is a retired Army colonel and the 2024 Republican nominee in this district. She won the 2026 GOP primary with 39.5% of the vote. Ballotpedia describes later work as a consultant and a short 2025 stint as assistant national cyber director for policy.
